Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways.
History
Civil engineering is traditionally broken into a number of sub-disciplines. It is considered the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering.
Public Sector
Civil engineering takes place in the public sector from municipal through to national governments,
Private Sector
and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.
Eligibility
Candidates who have passed Intermediate (12th) with PCM from a recognized board.
Diploma holders (10+3) of recognized university with at least two years' post qualification work experience required.
Duration
The Program Duration for Bachelor in Engineering will be Four Years comprising of Eight Semesters, Students may choose to take breaks in between subjects/parts. However, they are expected to follow a normative period of Seven years i.e. Students will have to complete the program within Seven years from session start date.
